The original article concerned the Uplnd Stoke E-Jinx kit. Available references to the related Hijinx family should not be treated as specifications for that exact kit. A 2018 Uplnd Stoke press release hosted by Pinkbike described the Hijinx line as 3M vinyl for clear-coat applications with detailed installation instructions.[17] That is a historical manufacturer statement, not an independent test or a current E-Jinx manual.
The checked E-Jinx manufacturer URL returned404. Wheat Ridge Cyclery’s related Hijinx2.0 page says the item is currently unavailable, and QARV’s collection lists Hijinx2.0 as out of stock.[25][26] Neither finding proves that every Uplnd Stoke product is discontinued.
What the retailer reference actually supports
Wheat Ridge’s Hijinx2.0 description lists labeled pieces, a quick installation guide and a squeegee, and describes dry peel-and-stick application.[25] Those details can help identify the related product, but do not justify transferring every instruction, material claim or coverage promise to E-Jinx.

Before applying a kit
Confirm the exact model/version, what it covers, and compatibility with your frame finish. Obtain the instructions supplied with that kit and check your frame maker’s finish-care guidance. Match the pieces to the frame before committing adhesive to the surface.
Do not add solvent, heat or extra adhesive based on an unverified generic tutorial. The former advice to wipe every frame with isopropyl alcohol, use a hairdryer and “apply the adhesive again” was not established for the exact kit and finish. If the instructions are missing, ask the seller or maker rather than improvising.
What not to infer
A heavy package does not prove material quality or durability. Surface film should not be treated as structural crash protection for a frame. No measured protection, installation-time comparison, universal fit or long-term yellowing result was established here.

For an older E-Jinx kit, verify the packaging/version and obtain its matching instructions before installation. For a new purchase, compare current products with documented finish compatibility, coverage and support.
